Frontier Pharmaceuticals develop, manufactures and markets Chlorine Dioxide based products incorporating the Patented DioxiCare System. Formulated as liquids, gels, pastes and soaps, its uses cover Oral Care, Skin Care, Wound Care, Surface Treatments and Dental Water Line equipment flushing.
First Patented in 1978 by Frontier founder and pioneer in the chemistry of Active Chlorine Dioxide, Howard Alliger; the DioxiCare range of products provide fantastic results in fighting Gingivitis, Halitosis (bad breath) and Oral Bacteria.
Within the DioxiCare range of products, DioxiWhite Teeth Whitening Gel is the only legal teeth whitening product available in the UK and Europe with performance equivalent to 35% Hydrogen peroxide based alternatives.
All DioxiCare products (DioxiRinse, DioxiBrite, DioxiWhite and Whitelasting) using the Active Chlorine Dioxide system have been third party tested and approved for use under EU directive 76/768/EEC (see below).
Frontier Pharmaceuticals head office is based in Mellville New York, and has over 30 years experieince in developing products containing Active Chlorine Dioxide.
The Dioxicare range of products have been and continue to be extensively tested for various indications, including disinfection efficacy, wound healing and toxicity evaluation. We are working toward a disinfection stamp of approval from the EPA (US Environental Protection Agency), as well as FDA (Federal Drug Administration) approval for several medical indications. An IND is presently in progress for our Wound Irrigant at a major University hospital. Other research projects include the use of DioxiCare technology for personal decontamination against Biological and Chemical Warefare Agents.
EU Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC states that any substance or preparation intended to be placed into contact with the various external parts of the human body or with the teeth and mucus membranes or the oral cavity, with a view exclusively or mainly to clean, perfume or change their appearance and/or correcting odours and/or protecting them or keeping them in good condition; must not be harmful to human health when they are applied under normal or foreseeable conditions of use.
